The UAC Top 20 Chiropractic’s most influential leaders 2026

The UAC Top 20 Chiropractic’s most influential leaders 2026

Who Is Actually Influencing the Chiropractic Profession?

Brian Capra:
Hey everyone, welcome to the UAC Best Practices Podcast. We have a very special session for you guys today. We’re gonna do something a little different, something very special to announce and talk about. So I’m gonna kick it over to my co-host, Dr. Allen Miner, to tell us about it.

Dr Allen Miner
Yeah, we’re here today with several of our board members, Dr. Lynne and Dr. Stephanie and you, Dr. Brian. And we’re talking about the 2026 top 20 list of most influential chiropractors. And we launched this last year really as a unique initiative within UAC. We kind of get a different vantage point, I think, being part of UAC and being the board of UAC than most people in the profession. Don’t you all think?

Brian Capra (00:44.136)
Absolutely. Yeah. was eye opening for me even to see as we kind of produced it last year, learning about some people I hadn’t even thought about.

Stefanie (00:44.429)
Thank you.

Dr. Lynne Mouw (00:45.349)
Yes.

Stefanie (00:55.366)
The cool influential things that people are doing for the profession. It’s so good. Good to hear it across the board that way.

Dr Allen Miner (00:55.874)
Yeah.

Dr Allen Miner (01:03.028)
Absolutely. mean, UAC is for those who maybe aren’t aware, it was founded almost 20 years ago by the Gintempos and then the board took over operating it about eight years ago. So it’s a board run organization and typically it’s pretty top performing people within chiropractic. There’s kind of three categories of folks in the group.

People that run really successful practices, usually people that have kind of gone through and become the pinnacle of the coaching group they were in and kind of landed on their own style of practice and just looking to surround themselves with people doing interesting things. Then you’ve got a big group of people that have business to business, people serving chiropractors in the group. And then you have what we call enterprise folks that are

maybe scaling with multiple clinics. So there’s a lot of software companies like Brian, we’re a staffing company, there’s coaching companies, there’s people with multiple clinics like Dr. Lynne, there’s people with one very successful niche clinic like Stephanie with a pediatric clinic. the point of that is we have people from every corner of the profession in UAC and I think that makes it unique, don’t you Dr. Lynne?

Stefanie (02:07.948)
Thank you

Dr. Lynne Mouw (02:22.883)
Yeah, just as you were saying that, I’m going through my head, like all of the really cool people I’ve gotten to know through the UAC and the vast network that I’ve built, people that know things in the profession that I’m just not touching to today. So I think that was what made it cool when we decided to pick this top 20 because what better group to do it as a group filled with people who span the profession.

Dr Allen Miner (02:47.166)
Absolutely. So Dr. Steph, to clarify, it’s not like the top 20 most popular chiropractors, right? Can you expound on that a little bit?

Stefanie (02:54.731)
Yeah, what we’re really looking forward this top 20 group is the most influential people who have had made made a really big impact on the profession in some way, or form that influenced the profession, maybe change the profession in some way. That’s what we’re really looking for here, not just like a popularity contest, right? We really want to see the people who have made an impact on our profession that have bettered it in some way, or form.

Dr. Lynne Mouw (02:55.513)
Thank you.

Brian Capra (02:55.723)
Yeah.

Dr Allen Miner (03:23.156)
Absolutely. And so that’s something to be really clear is this is create the way this list begins is there’s I believe around 175 people that are taken from last year’s nominees. We used AI to give us a list and then all of the UAC members contribute to this list. And then the next step that’s going to be happening here soon as we send that out to the profession to vote on. There’s also room to write in five spaces. So

If somebody’s not on that list, absolutely. We encourage you to write them in. Last year we had college presidents, coaches, entrepreneurs, sole practice owners, all kinds of researchers, people from every corner of the profession. Yeah, we’re on there. And so that’s where this is a peer voted on thing. And I think UAC is uniquely situated because we noticed, we all have our silos within Chiropractic.

Brian Capra (04:04.224)
Researchers, yeah.

Dr Allen Miner (04:20.674)

groups we hang out with, that we associate with. And that’s what’s so special about that room is you get people from every corner. So as Dr. Linda said, you get exposed to these different groups. And that’s really the purpose behind this list is this is the top 20 most influential people in chiropractic. And as Dr. Brian alluded to, there’s a lot of people that I hadn’t even heard of in the profession that have really big tribes and have a lot of influence.

Dr. Lynne Mouw (04:45.785)
And can I just add something? I think there’s a lot of people out there that we need to know about because there’s that essence of quiet influence. There’s people in our profession that are turning the dial every day and we should all know about them. So those write-in spots are really important when you go through that list and someone is not on there that should be, we need to know about them so we can recognize them, right?

Brian Capra (04:46.058)
Absolutely.

Stefanie (04:50.309)
So, thank you.

Dr Allen Miner (05:07.902)
Absolutely. Dr. Bryan, you’re in a unique position in the profession and that what you get to do with with ClinicMind, a software company, and you’ve been vocal last year that you have a concern about where our profession’s heading. Enrollment’s down.

Brian Capra (05:25.012)
Yep.

Dr Allen Miner (05:27.084)
there’s sort of this definite bifurcation that you get a uniquely inside look into really super successful clinics and clinics that are really struggling. It seems like that middle ground is kind of disappearing. Can you speak a little bit into that and how this list comes back around to help serve the profession in that way?

Brian Capra (05:46.74)
Yeah, it’s I think big picture. It’s it’s about knowing.

who’s actually in the profession. Like you said, we get siloed, we get in our own practices, we got our heads down. We’re trying to build a business, support a family, kind of stuff like that. But in the background, chiropractic, I mean, when I got out of school, it was, we’re gonna take over the world, it’s gonna be the number one healthcare profession. It’s probably been the same chant from the stage since chiropractic started. And if you look at the numbers and what’s happening on the planet,

it hasn’t changed and if anything it’s been shrinking or it’s ready to be shrinking. I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer here but it’s important for us to at least be able to take pick our head up for a minute and look around because we don’t typically do it. You know we go to our seminars, we do our technique, we look to our coach and we don’t look up and pick our head up and say hey what where are we as a profession? What’s being done out there?

You know the maha movement and all that stuff. What who are the leaders? What are they doing? It’s really important for us to take inventory of not just our own practice, which is typically and normally what we do and You know rightfully so but I think it’s important that we take a step back. Where was I when I was graduating? Where was this profession? How is it today? What can we do? What should we be doing? Who is doing something about that? and

Yeah, that’s where I’m at with this whole thing is that there are when we first did it the first time, it was like, wow, there’s a lot of people doing really awesome stuff. And I think one category you mentioned that we probably neglected a little bit was research, right? How vital that is to the success of our profession. We don’t typically think about it, right? There’s research that drives efficacy and funding and attracts even you.

Brian Capra (07:50.4)
private equity if you know for exits and I had a call yesterday with somebody from UAC they called me out they’re like hey you know I’m thinking of selling my practice this is the situation I made this offer they countered that and I’m like man

I can, I give some my feedback, but I’m like, man, there’s like 10 to five people you should be calling in UAC, but here’s people outside UAC you could be calling. And some of those people were just from, you know, the list from last year. So it’s, it’s really important for our profession to, I think, take inventory. And we’re not, this is just one way to kind of force that is like, Hey, who’s doing something out there? What’s going on? Where are we? That’s my take on it.

Dr Allen Miner (08:31.926)
Yeah, for sure. Dr. Stephanie, what are your thoughts on this?

Stefanie (08:37.576)
love that it gets gets us an opportunity to like give people recognition because I think that a lot of the times you do end up on your own island and you do end up in those you know experiences where you’re not surrounded by tons of people but you are making a difference and you’re making influence and it’s just great to be able to have like that time of recognition and to experience that and to also you know get the exposure to the people that are around you that they can

they get to vote for you. People want to vote for you. They love you as their doctor. They love you as who you are. And they want that opportunity to vote for you. So I think that if you’re making a difference in the profession, being recognized on this top 20 list, it’s a really big deal. And it’s a cool opportunity not only for you, but for the people around you who just want to support you.

Dr Allen Miner (09:26.796)
Yep. So how do people find out about this? Well, first, we’ll be emailing everybody on the list. You can go download last year’s from the UAC Cairo dot com page. That’ll put you on the list to receive voting. You’ll also see links all over social media throughout the profession. So please take some time to hop on there and vote for the top people or write people in if there’s somebody missing.

And then we tally that list up and based on the votes, we then release that top 20 about the middle of the year. We have an entire magazine we build around that that we have to edit and create and print. And then you’ll see a big push for that magazine for you to download. If you want a hard copy, you can find that over in the UIC Cairo page. But this is something that’s really our contribution as a group to the profession, too. As Dr. Stephanie’s, Dr. Lynn said,

to recognize and appreciate those people that are moving the profession forward and to tie it back to Dr. Bryan, those people who I think in many instances are the ones carrying the mantle to move our profession forward at a time where it seems to be contracting with fewer chiropractors graduating. You know, we’re at a bit of a crossroads in the profession. So who is responsible for taking the action steps?

whether it’s in how they’re growing businesses or how they’re influencing the public or how they’re doing research or how they’re educating students that will be future chiropractors, we need to acknowledge those people because they are the future of the profession. It’s really the nice edge of what’s moving this profession forward and gonna create the next century of what we’re doing as chiropractors. Well, everybody, thank you for your service. And we just ask you all to keep an eye out for…

Brian Capra (11:09.184)
That’s it.

Dr Allen Miner (11:15.244)
for the emails and the links to vote on and then keep an out when that list comes out. So thank you.

Brian Capra (11:22.315)
Thanks everyone.

Stefanie (11:23.265)
Thanks.
